It's as if I am drowning
It just keeps coming towards me
And it's like there is nothing
Nothing I can do about it
I turn, lay on my stomach
How I wish to be there
At the bottom of the sea
Peaceful, harmless it is
Far away from the blame and guilt
At the bottom of the sea
I can be myself
No worries, no sorry
Finally I pull the glass from my mouth
Lightly I set it on the counter
Here I am, drinking away my life
For what? Why?
The answer is not at the bottom of the glass
You can't drown it away
You are just prolonging the hurt.
